WebConf Why?

No issues with firewalls since its just vanilla HTTP stuff
No special client required - tested with IE and Firefox
If you leave (or get disconnected) and then come back you will still see the conversation that occurred while you were gone
Supports the notion of a speaker queue - very handy when using this during a conference call
Supports a simple voting mechanism
Support Jabber/XMPP - create a buddy called: roomname@soaphub.org

Features

See the 'Settings' button to customize your chat window and to change your name
Queue Management
- Click on the at the bottom right of the page to 'raise your hand'
- Type a name in the entry field first to add someone who isn't in the chat to the queue
- Click on the next to a name to remove them from the queue
- Click on the at the bottom right of the page to toggle your 'away' status
Voting
- Start a new vote by going to the Vote button and entering the Vote description and choices. Select the type of vote and then click 'Start new vote'
- Cast a vote (for yourself or someone else by going to the Vote button
- End the voting by going to the Vote button and choosing the 'End Vote' button
Use shift-enter to insert a line-feed in your text
Start a line with '/me ' to show an action for you
Select members and press to start a private chat room
Edit room info (eg. call-in #s) by pressing
If your room has a password that needs to be removed go to the 'admin' room and let us know
